remote area first aid
OVERVIEW:
This course provides you with the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in a remote or isolated site over an extended period of time until medical assistance is provided, or evacuation occurs.

Important: What is the difference between Remote Area First Aid & Wilderness First Aid? RAFA derives its basis from the Health Training Package whilst the WFA finds its basis with the Sport, Fitness and Recreation Training Package. From a skills and knowledge perspective they are very similar and the underlying fundamentals are the same. However, the WFA has more in it and an extra focus on dealing with a greater range of scenarios plus the co-ordination of emergency responses.
